My name is Rachel, but Luna Akasha is my ‘creative name’ I use for modelling and also as a pen name…
Born 16th June 1984 in Southampton UK. Moved around lots as a child – Hampshire, Yorkshire, Somerset, Devon and also California. Went to school there when I was 7 and went to 8 other schools too.
Travelling is very important to me – I’ve travelled around New Zealand and lived/worked in Amsterdam also. I wish to continue travelling some time in the future.
I really enjoy writing, which started as a child when I would write short stories about animals running away.
I’m really into ‘body mods’ and at present I have 5 tattoos and 12 piercings – all of which are on-going.
Walking/hiking is something I lots of peace in – and like holidays in the Cumbria.
I read lots of different books but am mainly drawn to authors such as Egar Allen Poe, HP Lovecraft, Anne Rice, Shelly, Angela Carter and Poppy Z Brite. I’ve also read books by Slyia Plath, fantasy novels and what ever comes to hand.
Black/White silent movies are a love of mine, including Nosferatu, I collect Hammer Horror also.
Animals are close to my heart and I miss my little cat Saffron – who I have tattoo for. I’ve always loved animals and believe my first word to be ‘woo woo’!
